The McGuire Center has a robust agenda directed at increasing academic understanding of the field of entrepreneurship.
Collaborative Entrepreneurship Research
Faculty members from across the University — and invited faculty from other institutions — explore possible avenues for collaborative, entrepreneurship-related research. This approach fosters an intellectual network that pays dividends for students who take classes from research-focused faculty and then apply the research shared in class to their venture concepts, and eventually, in the marketplace.
Endowed Chairs
The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship's endowed chairs conduct cross-disciplinary entrepreneurship research. A named, endowed chair is one of the most prestigious honors available and is a significant tribute for the chosen academician. Only the most outstanding scholars, at the height of their careers, are considered for one of the entrepreneurship-related endowed chairs.
